  • Applications for the Fall Semester are accepted in April. Applications for the Spring Semester are accepted in November.

  • A resume must be included with the application.

  • Awards are based on ability to write Java programs and on course performance.
  • Graduate Assistants are not permitted to hold another job.

  • If selected, instructions for accepting the position via the PeopleAdmin System will be provided.

  • Graduate Assistants will be assigned a course appropriate to his/her background and must be reliable.

  • This position is a 10 or 20 hour per week commitment.

  • Primary Responsibilities: attend classes for the course(s) assigned; assist in Closed Lab; grade assignments; understand and study course materials.

  • Secondary Responsibilities: Occasional tutoring; staff Open Lab; report on student progress.

  • Graduate Assistants are not permitted to work until all paperwork is completed in HR (new international students may need to obtain a Social Security Number).

  • All Graduate Assistants are required to attend an Orientation at the beginning of the semester.

Those selected will be awarded a tuition scholarship for a stipend and typically one (1) course per semester. Continuation of this award is dependent upon scholarly performance.
